My art is geared toward a younger demographic because I had a rough childhood. In short, you could say cartoons saved my life. Growing up in poverty with a home filled with drugs and alcohol, had me in a pretty rough state. In a world that wanted me to grow up so fast, cartoons slowed things down for a while. They gave me solace in a dangerous and scary place. I'm not going to go to in-depth but cartoons, they were my hero.
After a wreck at age 25. Knee surgery took my life in a steep downturn. Financially and physically, I was broken. Which, took my mental health down too. I turned to drawing as a personal therapy and realized what an impact animation had on my life, particularly in youth. I'll spend the rest of my life emulating my heroes. I can't repay the favor, but maybe I can pay it forward and save someone else's life.
